And you thought surfing was hard

All I can say is WOW, people definitely need lots of of practice before they get the hang of standing up on a surfboard and more importantly learning some tricks and maneuvers while on the wave to make it even more fun. I actually think surfing is harder to master than snowboarding. Surfing is already hard enough now try that while recording some video, I found this video on youtube and I must say the camera person got skills, the video quality is not very good but its fun to see people doing this, it definitely gives a more realistic perspective of what’s happening out there as opposed to see it from a camera far on the beach of a camera on a moving jet ski.

Driving in Costa Rica: Part 2

So my brother took the car and he decided to go see the “arrivada” which is a Spanish term used in Costa Rica to describe when hundreds of turtles come from the ocean to lay their eggs at the beach, the only problem is that it only happens in the span of  1 or 2 weeks, and it usually you can see the most turtles within 4 or 5 days of those 2 weeks, and usually its right at the end of rainy season, which in Costa Rica when it rains it pours and there are places where the roads are not accessible for months, due to rivers and flooding. He was set to go the beach however he couldn’t make it, the rivers wore too high and flooding was bad, he almost got stuck but luckily there was a friendly Range Rover that pull him him of where he was stuck.

This brings me to a good point if you are set to buy a 4×4 car and your are indeed going to use 4×4 not because you can, but because you have to, a good thing to remember is to buy the 4×4 car that has the highest ground clearance, which will be helpful when driving on really bad roads with HUMONGOUS put holes, rocks and there are rivers to cross.

Big Crocodile in Costa Rica

A while back when I was in Costa Rica, my dad and I went in his little (21 foot) boat around the Tempisque River, we went up a little river that spins off the main river into the wild farm lands of Guanacaste, the ride is very scenic because we get to see many wild life like tons of birds and Iguanas laying around, specially the big Iguanas, we also see crocodiles once in a while, for the most part they are shy animals because they are not used to humans, but we catch this one off the water, and it was a big crocodile, it was good we didn’t get too close ;)

Have you ever seen a baby crab?

Holy Cow, or should I say holy crab, I didn’t know how small baby crabs can be until I actually saw this one, this is probably not as small as other crabs but still it looks pretty small. My brother found it chilling in a shell, probably scare of us, but we only wanted to check it out and take a picture of him.

Amazing Sunsets in Costa Rica

I have a few other videos that I haven’t posted here and while looking for more I found this short video that I put together using some pretty cool sunset pictures, I was still very new to the video editing thing when I put this together, so its probably not as cool as other videos that I created before, but still its pretty cool to look at.

Costa Rica For Beach Lovers

A while back I wrote about my most popular video, which at the time it was my most popular video, however the vide what hosted at the metacafe website, however I have another copy of the video in youtube, so I am posting the link to the youtube video here, because most of the videos I post are on youtube, except the second Costa Rica Fun Mix because it was "too" long for youtube you so instead I put at Vimeo.com.

Mel Gibson’s backyard

It’s been a while since last time I wrote something, and I really want to keep my blog with fresh content. You might or might not know that the famous actor and movie director Mel Gibson bough some property in Costa Rica right on the beach, and I think that is a very good decision that he made because when he is in Costa Rica his life style would be more relax, by design, and I mean Nature design, just like nature intended, he bough a place that has unique access to this secluded and awesome beach and he and his guests get there using Mel’s House backyard. The property is quite big and the area is big too. In this picture you can only see his backyard access to the beach.

This the backyard entrance from the beach … VERY NICE.. I LIKE.

As you walk toward the beach you can see the vegetation is completely virgin never modified by humans.

Another Costa Rica Fun Mix

So this past December (07) and January (08), my girlfriend and I spend a very nice time in Costa Rica in company of my family, it was a very nice time because I was there for over one month. I really enjoy myself a lot every time I go to Costa Rica, specially around December and January, because the weather is very nice, everything is green since the rainy season just ended, but the weather its very nice, warm and the water is super warm too which is good for surfing and hanging out in the beach.  I took a ton of video but I have only manage to make this one mix so far. Hope you enjoy it, and don’t forget to write your comments to let me know what do you think about this video and/or if you have any question.

Most of this video was shot in the northwest part of Costa Rica in the province of Guanacaste, which is where the famous actor and movie director Mel Gibson has his cozy place right next to the beach in Costa Rica.
