Take a ride on the BMW Hydrogen 7

I was just looking over at some of the Hydrogen vehicles that BMW are working on, and I saw the BMW Hydrogen 7, it’s a car that works on both gasoline as well as hydrogen, and with the push of a button the car can run on hydrogen or gasoline which ever you choose. This model of hybrid hydrogen/gasoline is very convenient because only in very few places you can find a place to refuel on hydrogen but for those places where you can get hydrogen, having one of this will be really cool.  It would be interesting to find out once hydrogen becomes more main stream, how much the cost of hydrogen would compare to the cost of gasoline. Here are some videos of the BMW Hydrogen7 in action as well as computer animated short of how the hydrogen engine works. date:Object

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Nice intro to the Murcielago LP640 from the folks of TopGear, here you can see how is to drive this beast and see it compete against a VW GTI, of course the Lamborghini  wins but you get the idea of how much faster is this thing compared to a normal car. Unfortunately is not a cheap car but it’s definitely a nice car to see running on the streets.

Better toy than a racing bike = the atom

One of my friends is thinking about getting a street bike like a Kawasaki ninja or something like that, one of those toys where you feel one with the road.  Personally I would never ride a bike on the streets just because of all the risk involved in possible accidents with other car or trucks , etc.  For those who like the feel of driving a really fast toy there is the atom, this car is a super light car, about 500 kilograms and with a supercharged motor that delivers 300 break horse power, the Ton/horse power ratio is effectively 600 break horse power, which means this car accelerates faster than a Porsche carrera. This car begun production in south England by a small company called Ariel, now the atom is being made in America and apparently there is a lot of people ordering this super fast toy. The first video shows the atom that was made in England and the second show the Atom being build in USA.  I think I’ll put this on my Christmas list fore sure !!

Ouch!! Rally car goes flying

I saw a short clip when a rally car skids along a curve at high speed and gets a little off road and hits a solid stump that sends the car flying in the air and spins it like a blender, ouch, this sort of things reminds me of why I am not driving a rally car, sure it looks fun when the drivers knows how to drive, but I would not want to be inside this car, that looks like a major backslash.

Very Funny TopGear Crew Vs Rednecks

TopGear crew from the BBC goes to USA and found trouble in redneck town. These guys wore trying to make their trip trughout USA more fun by writing in each other cars to see which one draws the most attention in order to get the other one killed or in jail, obviously this British guys had no idea what they about to find.

A water powered car engine?

A water powered car, that’s right and it sounds too good to be true, this “inventor” knows how to do it and he evens has a car that runs on water, well sort of.  He converts water (H2O) into a gas (HHO) and uses the gas as a fuel to the engine motor, he even creates a hot fame with the gas that is very hot yet stays cool to the touch of the hand.
What is a little unclear is if the car itself has the system to convert the water into the gas, or the gas hat to be generated else where, and how much power does it takes to break the water molecules into such a gas, anyway the technology seems pretty cool, and I Hope someday I can drive a car where instead of carrying a tank of gasoline I can be carrying a smaller tank of water that the car will break on demand to fuel the motor. Imagine the possibilities, water is cheaper and is no flammable like gasoline, that that is an awesome idea that hopefully researches at universities and private companies can bring to live the near future.
