Benefits for Owning a Home

Do you currently own a house? if you don’t then, you might not know what are the benefits of owning a home. I came across a site that list Ten Good Reasons for Owning a Home. In summary it tells you straight and to the point 10 reasons of why you should own a home if you don’t already do. Of course there are more than 10 reasons why you should buy a Home, and the sooner you do it, the better off you are, renting a place is very convenient because it allows you for flexibility and free of mobility but owning your own place has far more financial advantages if you can afford the mortgage in a house, I strongly recommend to consider buying a home only if you are sure you will live at the place for at least 5 years to make the purchase worth while and build at least some equity.

10 Solid Stocks for 2007

According to CNN Money they came up with a list of good solid stocks that should perform very good for the year of 2007, I was looking over the stock performance history and the first one caught my attention, it looks very promising based on its history, but of course that is just numbers, I haven’t really looked at every stock individually and I am not an active stock trader that buys and sell stocks in the short term, however I am thinking about buying one of them as a long term investment to add up to my portfolio, as always is good to diversify.date:Object

Free online stock trading

This is a nice deal for people who like to buy and sell stoks in a regular basis, and Bank of America currently provides you with 30 commission-free online equity trades per month, according to CNN Money. This program will be available to all states in USA by Spring 2007.  This is really cool since most brokers charge anywhere from $4 to $20 fee for trading stocks.

However looks like the catch here is that you must have deposited a combined balance of $25,000 in your Bank of America Deposits accounts such as checking, savings and CDs.

I think this is worth considering depending on how much interest my 25K gets in my Bank of America Account. I would rather keep those 25K sitting in a high yield money market savings account at places like HSBC Direct or Eloan which i can get 5% APY or more in my savings.
