From Dodge Intrepid to Dodge Neon

For the longest time I used to drive a 1996 Dodge Intrepid V6 3.6L DOHC, overall it was a nice and cheap reliable American car which I got for $2000 back in 2002 with only 84,000 miles, of course the water pump went out at about 103,000 which did not surprise me at all since most vehicles is recommended to have the water pump and timing belt replace at 100K miles.  After 5 years and 50,000 miles later the car is still running which is not bad at all for a used car which was 6 years old when I got it.

Dodge Neon
Dodge Intrepid Now in 2007 I have decided that is time to “retire” the Dodge Intrepid and get something more economic and with better gas mileage, so now I drive a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT 4cy 2.0L which is awesome because instead of paying around $40 to fill the thank for the Intrepid now I can fill the Dodge Neon for less than $25 and so far I have been getting 30 miles to the gallon. This is not bad considering that when the car was new it was supposed to get 29 city mpg and 35 highway mpg.

I would recommend anyone who wants to save money on gasoline and has a  6 cylinder car to switch to a more economic and efficient  4 cylinder car, and if you can afford and hybrid well that’s even better
